Nestled in the foothills of Granite Hills, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in El Cajon offers a light, bright, and spacious feel. So, agent Elaine Boyd of Big Block Realty teamed up with Project Director Karli to add some modern finishes and conveniences to this home before it hit the market.

To get started, Karli directed her team to replace all of the doors throughout the home and add new carpeting throughout. All of the walls were patched and painted, and the shelving in the hallway was repaired. In the kitchen, the ceiling panel and any unwanted appliances were removed, new drywall was added and the ceiling was repainted. New recessed lighting was installed, along with a new microwave hood, refrigerator and dishwasher. In the master bathroom, the vanity light and center electrical was upgraded, and new tile was added to the shower walls and flooring. Frameless glass and a new shower head were also installed, and an extraction fan cover was added. A new toilet was installed along with a new prefab vanity cabinet, countertop, sink, faucet, and vanity mirror. The other bathrooms were modernized with new lighting, new vanities, reglazing in the showers and upgraded hardware throughout. The bedrooms benefitted from new flooring, removal of closet tracks, and new ceiling fans. Moving to the outside of the home, the exterior walls were patched and painted, sconces were replaced, the fence was repaired, and any bamboo was removed.

Upon completion of this project, the home sold for $775,000, earning the owners a $85,287 profit and a 215% return on their investment!
