This stunning contemporary 3 bd, 2.5 ba home offers vast views of the San Francisco Bay and features an open floor plan that allows natural light to stream in, highlighting the home’s beautiful layout and laid-back atmosphere. The home features soaring high ceilings, a plethora of windows, a beautiful back deck, and private balcony, all while being in close proximity to a local community park. When looking to find the right buyer, agent Shelly Flynn of The Grubb Co. teamed up with project director Lara Richmond to add some modern upgrades and accentuate features in this already fabulous home.
To start out, Lara directed her team to patch and paint the interior walls, ceilings and trim throughout the house. All of the ceiling-mounted lights and wall-mounted lights were replaced with more modern fixtures, and all of the windows were washed to add an extra touch of brightness to each room. The fireplace and hearth were retiled and new thermostat were installed to better control the temperature throughout the seasons. Over in the kitchen, the undermount sink was caulked and a new range and extractor fan were installed. The old refrigerator was swapped out for a new one with a water hook-up, and a new dishwasher was added to top off the modern appliance upgrades. The master bathroom got a full makeover with new recessed shower lights and repair to the shower drywall. An upgraded shower head, new glass, and modern wall tiling was added to the shower. The floor also received new tiling, and a new toilet was installed. The vanity was upgraded with new countertops and sinks, as well as a new mirror, handle pulls, and hardware. Additionally, the half bathroom benefitted from a new prefab vanity counter and sink, new faucets, new mirrors, and new hardware. The bedrooms had more minor upgrades, with new carpeting laid in each one and a new pendant ceiling light installed in the master bedroom. On the outside of the home, the decks and railings were rebuilt and the siding and windowsils were repaired. A half-bath vanity cabinet was installed in the garage and a new Ring doorbell was added by the front door.
Once this project wrapped up, the home sold for $1,229,000, offering the owners an $85,026 profit!
