Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the Upper Dimond district of Oakland, this 2 bd, 2 ba bungalow had the perfect framework for a refresh before hitting the market this Spring. Agent Mark Hardwicke of BHG RE Reliance Partners teamed up with project director Lara Richmond to help give the property a more modern feel while highlighting some of the home’s original quirks and build outs.

Once the team mapped out their plan, they got started by freshly painting each room and upgrading the lighting, appliances and hardwood floors. Both bathrooms benefitted from new vanities, simple mirrors, refinished cabinets and a few other complimentary hardware details. Moving on to the outside of the home, the team opted to repaint the siding, lay fresh mulch, add in a new vegetable bed and install a fresh gravel walkway.

The effort and attention to detail that the team brought to this project helped the property to sell for $965,000, offering the owner a 282% return on their initial investment!
