Nestled in the hills of Mill Valley, this 3 bd, 3 ba light-filled home features high ceilings, beautiful windows and expansive deck space, making it the perfect canvas for a pre-sale remodeling project. Agents Ken Dara and Michelle Pender of Engel & Volkers San Francisco teamed up with project director Melissa Jones and designer Brooke Moore to restore this home to a modern, neutral palette before hitting the market.

With the help of local contractors, the team began by giving each room a fresh coat of paint and installing new flush mount lighting throughout the home. The front door was repainted and the entryway was re-leveled after experiencing some dry rot. At the heart of the home, the kitchen was modernized with new countertops, new tiled backsplash, new lighting, and freshly painted cabinets. All three bathrooms were upgraded with new shower heads, tiling and shower doors, along with new tile flooring and sleek vanities. Moving to the outside of the home, Melissa directed the team to refinish and re-stain the deck and paid attention to details such as new window trim, fresh mulch in the backyard, and removal of old fencing.

After only a few weeks on the market, this home sold for $2,500,000, earning the owners a 179% return on their investment.
