This light-filled one bedroom condo located in the heavily sought-after Marina District was sure to attract a lot of eager buyers once it became available for viewing. With its beautiful bay windows, oak flooring, coffered ceilings, and classic crown molding, this home is unmistakably a San Francisco classic. Engel & Voelkers agent Michelle Pender teamed up with project director Joelle Belmonte to implement some modern and aesthetic upgrades to the space while being mindful of its original character before it hit the market!
Under Joelle’s direction, the team got started by patching, prepping, and painting all of the walls in the home. The oak hardwood floors were all refinished and new light bulbs were installed throughout. The built-in cabinetry in the living room was removed to help open up the room and all of the windows were washed, accentuating the natural light within the space. Additionally, a combination washer-dryer unit was installed in the unit to offer a modern convenience that is not commonly found in city apartments! Over in the kitchen, the team got to work by replacing the cabinet doors, adding new shelving near the stove, and installing a new under-mount sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. New quartz countertops were added and the old refrigerator, dishwasher, and faucets were swapped out for more up-to-date appliances. Lastly, a new neutral wall sconce was added and the mount ceiling lights were replaced to provide high quality lighting to the newly renovated space. Moving on to the bedroom, Joelle and team opted to install new drawer pulls and closet door handles, as well as hang a new pendant light that fit a more modern aesthetic. The bathroom also benefited from new faucets, a new rain shower head, a new vanity mirror, and aesthetic modern hardware.
